You know, I should update this more often.
As soon as I set up the camera program on my computer, I shall post some really pretty sunset pictures I took one day. They were taken while my mother and I were on the highway, so I can't say how good they'll be.
But the colors are pretty, and that's all that matters to me.
I won't be posting very often here, but you can find more daily posting here: http://rainbow-nj.livejournal.com It's really a lot of day-to-day, non-art stuff, but at least I remember to update. Should have writing soon.

Back from Vacation (This will be a lo
Officially since yesterday, at 6 'o' clock in the morning.
On my vacation, I:
-received an early birthday present (a digital camera).
-tried some blonde highlights for fun (done by my mother at home).
-have gotten a second piercing in my right earlobe.
-purchased a fantasticly cheap pair of earrings that I love (with skulls inside huge hearts--I mostly got them for the skulls).
-constantly played Dance Dance Revolution with my cousin Stephanie.
-found that my cousin has not turned into a wannabe cheerleader as previously believed, and rejoiced.
-saw many monuments in Washington, D.C.
-was moved by the Vietnam Memorial to tears.
-Took pictures all over my vacation after I got my camera (which I got in Florida AFTER D.C.)
-learned my cousin Andy was going to be a bartender soon.
-got bitten regularly by my cousin Stephanie's tempermental cat Precious.
-chased a pigeon, a duck, and a pelican (really was just trying to take pictures of them).
-bought a shirt from the International Spy Museum that reads "Deny Everything."
-was also under the code name Maria Rivera at said museum-but don't tell anyone.
-bought various cute little items that could've easily been bought back home, but went ahead and bought anyway.
-didn't get to go to the Hard Rock Cafe, and was disappointed.
That sort of sums up my vacation. 8D
I went to Washington D.C. first on Amtrak's Capitol Limited train. It was a 13 hour trip (estimated), and we stayed at the Club Quarters hotel, which was nice. Explored Union Station, which is the huge-ass Amtrak station D.C. has that looks like a mall.
The next day, we took a tour around the city, visiting all the monuments, memorials, and museums, and such. It was a long day. >.> But I enjoyed it, to say the least.
The last day, we went to the International Spy Museum. Among pirates, medieval knights, and various other things, I loved the idea of the spy, and it was great to find out about some real ones.
Then we took the Silver Star (or was it the Silver Meteor?)(trip took 24 hours+4hour delay) train down to Sebring, Florida, where we were picked up by my Aunt Doreen, Uncle Blaine, and cousin Stephanie, who then drove us back to Fort Myers, where they lived.
We spent about 10 days in Florida, doing various things of which I don't feel like typing all out right now, but may describe later. If anyone cares, ha ha.
Then we headed back up on whichever train we didn't ride down, and that took 20 hours because there were a few stops taken out of the train route. We spent an 8 hour layover in DC, went to the National Archives, which I loved, the Navy Memorial, and the Sculpture Garden.
Took our last train at about 4 'o' clock PM Sunday, got back home at about 5:30AM, officially in our house at 6:00 or so.
...I was so tired yesterday when I got home, but I couldn't fall asleep for the longest time.
I miss my relatives in Florida now--Stephanie especially--but I was getting sort of homesick, and I missed my friends, my pets, and my regular internet access, lolz.
Had a lot of fun, which was slightly unexpected.
Love ya,
Lyn~

SHOW ME, HOMEY +petrified+
In case you don't get around, I'm listening to Fort Minor right now. "Petrified" has a good beat.
Anyways, life is good. 8D I haven't started my summer reading, but I don't really care about that.
I'm on Facebook (no, I'm not listing that here), and I keep finding all the people I know from school! There's more people than I thought... Ho hum. It's sort of fun. ^^
Oh, the song just changed. Muse's "Hysteria" ~<3
*Give me your heart and your soul*
Love,
Lyn <3
PS-Feel free to comment me just to talk or e-mail me at necromancerjade@hotmail.com ^^

Aftermath
Exams went surprisingly well. History's was a joke, as I expected.
Living Today's was just plain long. But easy~
Chemistry... easier than expected. Sort of a--moderate difficulty, yep. (LIKE SETTING A VIDEOGAME ON MEDIUM, HA HA.)
The only thing that worries me is my English essay. IT. WAS. SUCH. CRAP.
Then again, I didn't put much effort into it, neither did I really care what I got.
All is well 'round my house this night.
I need to stop singing along with Rufus Wainwright songs--my voice is horrible.
Love,
Lyn

LOLPROCRASTINATION
GUESS WHAT????
MY ENGLISH EXAM ESSAY IS DUE WEDNESDAY, AND I STILL HAVEN'T STARTED IT.
PLUS, I STILL NEED TO STUDY FOR MY OTHER EXAMS--of which there are 3. 2 that I actually need to study for, Living Today and Chemistry~~~~~~~
LOLZ. I REALLY DON'T WANT TO WRITE AN ESSAY. THIS BOOK Beloved IS THE WORST BOOK I'VE EVER READ (okay, and had to write an essay on). WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IF WE HAD STARTED OUT THE TRIMESTER WITH THIS BOOK.
...NOPE, IT STILL WOULD SUCK.

YAY. I DIDN'T DIE.
...SRSLY. =D
It's because I just barely beat this... thing... called King Bomb in FF12. 8DDD It was hilarious, because within 5 seconds, Balthier was the only left standing in the battle (because he's lv. 40-ish & everyone else is at about 30 or so). AND HE WON. ALL BY HIMSELF. It took a lot of items, and I eventually gave up on bringing everyone else back to life.
Ohwell. It was still cool.
Meanwhile, school is almost over. I have one more essay to write this year for school, and it's my final exam for English. I hate the book we have to write it on (right now, anyway, it could get better the further I get into it), so it might be difficult.
...Anyone ever read Beloved by Toni Morrison? (I think I remembered her name right... correct me if you can?)
Meanwhile, I'm working to update my dA. Hopefully soon, but I can't really promise anything. I want to get back into my fanfiction attempt, and actually do something, so... who knows? xD
Anyway, I've been drawing a lot, blah blah... OH! I remembered something school-related!!! We had this funtastic scavenger hunt with randomly picked teams and 25 clues--it was in our Honors English 10 class. My team was these two other guys in my class, Brad and Andy. We would've done really well, but all of us made some pretty stupid mistakes. (Especially me--the messages were in code, and it switched every so often. I started to decode some of them wrong, and had to start all over when I realized what I had done! >_>) So we came in 6th place.
Out of 6. 8DDDDDDDDD
Our prize was... *drum roll*
A BAG OF PRUNES FOR EACH OF US, AND CDS WITH COMPILATIONS OF MOSTLY BAD OLD MUSIC.
Soyeah, that's what we got. The only good song on the cd I received (and any of our 3 cds) was a song by Aretha Franklin, of which I currently can't remember the name. =) Otherwise, I noticed there was a bunch of crap like the Backstreet Boys and N'SYNC, lolz.
AND THAT'S MY UPDATE.
Love, Lyn~ <3

What do you know? An Update!
...I'm online. =D
Hello, folks. How are you doing on this fine... random... day?
Yeah, I missed Valentine's Day posting, but it's not a big deal. I drew something special for my friend Kolulu and gave it to her at school. It was sort of last minute; I finished coloring it at school when she wasn't looking. 8D
Winter Formal was fantastic! I had a lot of fun with my friends, but the music mostly sucked. Which is nothing new. I also got my ass grabbed, but for what reason, I'm not sure...
People kept telling me I looked really good without my glasses and in a dress. It was weird.
Yeah, I had a sort of slinky black dress that went down to about my knees or so.
Lol, every time I think about my dress, I remember when AS-Sama told me about how it was considered indecent for a lady to show her ankles in Victorian times. Then I giggle and think of how badly I'd be in that time period.
Yeah, I'm a nerd.
It's nothing new.
Going back to school tomorrow!
Love,
Lyn

February.
It's Black History month.
Which always makes me sad, because no one really celebrates it, but they should!
Yeah, I am "just a teenage white girl," as I got called one time before, but honestly: can't I care, too? Am I not allowed to care if a part of history is being ignored? Am I just not allowed to care?
Of course, there is another question I'd like to ask is: why we don't teach black history all year? I mean, we always teach... say... "white" history? So why not teach everyone's history?
These things make no sense to me.
______________________________________________________________
On another note, two very specific days are coming up: Feb. 9th and... okay, never mind, I can't remember what day Valentine's Day comes on because I don't care. :) February 9th is Winter Formal at my HS. I suppose I'm going because all my friends really want me to go, and Amanda says she'll drag me there if she has to. So, for sake of retaining dignity, I'm coming of my own will... to some extent.
Mother is really excited, especially since she likes it when I act girly, and is taking me to look for dresses today.
I sort of like that. I mean, it's nice to know some things look good on me. Very few, but it still makes me happy...
Nothing much in school, really, elsewise.
Love,
Lyn~

RUSSIAN REVERSAL, LMAO.
...What? It does make me laugh my ass off! ;P
My friend Amanda came up with some pretty good ones. She's so freakin' full of awesome sometimes. I need to draw her that Christopher guy. Or Tear or Colette from the Tales series. 8D
If you don't know what Russian Reversal is, look it up. I think you can find it on Wikipedia.
Anyhow, took another test in History today. Got a 101%, which is the highest you could get with the extra credit, I think... doesn't matter much. I just wanted an A. ^_^;
All the sophomores are supposed to be going on a field trip to this place that... well, it's a vocational school. You don't have to go if you're not interested, and... I'm not interested.
My logic is sound. Plus, I'd like it if I didn't have to deal with some people for most of the day. Names shall not be named--for now.
And Amanda is staying behind because she's in a math class full of juniors, so no one else is going from her class. She said she can't really afford to miss any class, and has no interest in going to that other place either. 8D Guess we both planned on college, eh?
Yeah, I just found out she was staying back at the end of the day. I made my decision not to go in 1st period. xDD
I JUST FINISHED A REALLY GOOD BOOK--Rebel Angels, by Libba Bray. Second in the series, so you really need to read the 1st one, A Great and Terrible Beauty.
Go on now! GO READ, DAMMIT.
Love,
Lyn~
(Lol, Amanda made the original "Ducky" in MSPaint. I turned it into an avatar for her on dA. xDD She used it for a while, then changed it after submitting the actual file for fun. )

Crushcrushcrush
...Which is the name of the song I am listening to right now.
By Paramore.
Anyway, 'taint been a very exciting week. :/
Take school, for example.
We started clay in Art Foundations on Monday. Initially interesting, now... not so much as a break during the day from the rest of school.
Health is still a joke, but with a twist! A pain in the butt project that may just cost me an easy A because it's extremely hard to keep track of calories, fat, carbs, and protein when your family makes a lot of homemade, nutrition label-less meals. >.>
History is fun, but there's a limit to how much fun you can have in school, I suppose.
Got a 97% on my most recent test, though. 8D
French 2... don't make me laugh. Yeah, it's fun in there, I guess, but... after a while, it just starts to drag on and on... I do have an A+ in there, though. xDD
And Computer Applications... well, let's just say my typing has improved, and my attention span may have decreased. (read: extremely boring class)
Thing is, I'm okay with all of this, but... gawd, could school be any more normal? Boring? Usual?
I should be happy with that.
But I can't right now.
Anyways... homelife. ///
Also boring.
I'm doing a lot of drawing, which is coming out okay, and a little writing, which is coming out... kind of bad. 8D
Maybe it'll improve within the next few days? 8DDD
And maybe not.
No school on Monday--Martin Luther King Day.
Yayy.
And sorry my journal sounds so depressed.
I'm not.
I'm just tired... and cold.
And my favorite character just died on a tv show I kinda watch. >>
Love,
Lyn~
